How to Succeed in any Franchise - Part 1

  1. You must Believe in your Product or Service .
Many people are choosing a Franchise based purely on the figures on the Balance sheet .

You will fail in a highly profitable Franchise if you do not believe in the Product or Service ,
especially  if you are making your Franchise Choice only  on the Money .


Let's say you are a Vegetarian and you are looking to buy a Hamburger Franchise because it as a great Money-Spinner .

  • Is there anything about that Hamburger Franchise that appeals to you other than the Money ?
  • Are you impressed that the Hamburger Franchise now sells Salads and other Healthy Snacks ?
  • Do you feel that the Coffee is good value ?
  • Do you Believe in the Hamburger Training System provided by the Franchise ?
You will succeed with your Franchise in a Big Way if you Believe in some aspect of the Product or Service outside of the Money .

If you are only  interested in the Money and dislike the Product and Service of your Franchise
your Staff will pickup on this attitude and duplicate it with your customers .

We  recently called a Mobile/Cell  Phone Franchise to enquire about upgrading our  Mobile/Cell Phones .
Despite speaking to three different staff members about a particular Brand , 
we  could not get anyone to give us  the information we  required .
Repeatedly we were  told ,
 ' go to the Brand website , it has all the info you need '.

But the purpose of our  Call  was because the New Mobile that the Franchise  was  Advertising ,
was not yet on the Brand Website in our Country .

When we  explained this to the Franchise staff they were less than interested ,
with a ' Bad Luck ' response .

This was the give away ' Sign of Zero Product Belief ' from the Staff ,
which was more than likely duplicated from the Franchisee .
  • Did the Franchisee use the Mobile/Cell Products of their own Franchise ?
  • Did the Staff of the Franchise use its Mobile/Cell Products and accessories ?
When we asked the Franchise Staff which Phones they all used ,
they candidly told us they were using the Phones of a competitor ,
with a ' Who cares ' response .

Before Social Media
Franchisees could probably get away with this situation ,
but not any more ,
as the average Customer will go 'Public ' with this type of scenario
on their favourite Social Network .
