How to get the Best ROI with Social Media Marketing - Part 1

  • Should you expect short or long term benefits from Social Media Marketing ?
         Of course the answer to this question is

         Social Media Marketing is a long term project ,

         because it is about Building Awareness of your Brand

         and creating Business relationships .


        But a Long Term Social Media Marketing Plan

        does not help your Cash Flow right now ,

        and this is where a lot of Small Business owners

        are getting frustrated and feeling like they are wasting their time.


  • Does Building a Long Term Social Media Marketing Plan mean that you cannot have Short Term Cash Flow benefits ?
         What is being missed in this rigorous debate is

         the difference between Social Media Marketing

         and Social Media Advertising .

  • Should your Advertising Budget for Social Media be increased ?
          If you want to capture Retail Sales or Orders for your Service

         you need to start Advertising on the Social Networks .

         Your Business Page is creating a lot of awareness of your Brand ,

         but the nature of Social Networking

         means that it is not always convenient

         to ask for the Sale to be closed in the middle of a conversation .

        However , your Strategic Ad will do this for you

        without offending the Page participant .

        Why ?

        The Social Network Customer

        does not want to be ' Sold ' on your Page ,

        but if the Marketing is done properly ,

        it will Create the Desire for your Product or Service .

        If there is an Ad for your Product or Service next to your Page ,

        those who are interested will respond with a request for a Sale ,

        and nobody gets offended .

        Let the Social Media Marketers do their job effectively ,

        and the Social Media Advertisers place their Strategic Ads ,

        and your Business will have plenty of Short Term Cash Flow benefits ,

        and Long Term Brand awareness .

        The two must run concurrently to get the Best Results .

        The main problem in getting Results from Social Media

        is that the Marketing and Advertising are not being conducted

        according to a Strategic Plan .


       Some Businesses are running lots of Ads with very little Marketing .

       This will not generate much click Response to your Ads ,

       because the Desire has not previously been created

       for your Product in the Social arena.

       Other Businesses have Brilliant Pages

       with Elaborate Welcome gimmicks

       to Capture Customers ,
   
       but they are still not getting large Volumes of Sales

       because they have not invested in corresponding Ads

       designed to Create the Sales.
